Smith-Corona Classic 12 Blue Manual Typewriter and Case
The Smith-Corona Classic 12 is a manual portable typewriter from the 1960s, proudly made in the United States. Known for its reliability and ease of use, the Classic 12 was part of Smith-Corona’s popular “5-Series” and featured a wider 12-inch carriage — ideal for typing on larger formats like legal paper or carbon sets.
This model features a streamlined plastic body in a light blue hue, with sculpted white keycaps and a bold red margin release key that give it a clean, mid-century appearance. It includes a built-in paper guide, adjustable margins, a red/black ribbon system and Smith-Corona’s signature “power-space” key for added typing efficiency.
This machine has been fully serviced, refurbished, and tested — ready to use right out of the box. It comes with its original hard carrying case for safe and convenient transport.
Please note: the paper release levers have been replaced with 3D printed, hand-painted replicas. These replacements function correctly but should not be cleaned with solvents or abrasive products. Expect normal cosmetic wear consistent with age.
Every vintage item we restore has a story, and we take great care to preserve its authenticity. Our trained technicians carefully inspect, clean and service each piece, retaining original components whenever possible. When necessary, we incorporate high-quality replacement parts to ensure reliability and longevity. The result is a thoughtfully restored vintage item that’s fully functional and ready for a second life.
Please note vintage items will show signs of previous use. While we carefully restore each piece to ensure full functionality, cosmetic wear and slight variations from the product photos should be expected.
