Barbie in the Nutcracker (2001) is an animated fantasy film directed by Owen Hurley and featuring the voices of Kelly Sheridan, Kirby Morrow and Tim Curry. In her first CGI-animated adventure, Barbie stars as Clara, a young girl who receives a nutcracker doll from her Aunt Elizabeth. On Christmas Eve, Clara is magically transported to a fantastical world where she embarks on a journey with the Nutcracker to defeat the evil Mouse King and discover her true destiny as the Sugarplum Princess. The film features choreography by Peter Martins of the New York City Ballet and music by the London Symphony Orchestra, bringing Tchaikovsky's classic score to life.
