My parents are moving out of my childhood home, and when I went back to move my stuff out I uncovered hundreds of CDs from my teenage years. I felt nostalgic, and remembered my old Sony Walkman that was unfortunately stolen from me long ago. I loved that thing, and eventually I got curious to look one up and was pleased to find Retrospekt. I saw the same Walkman model I use to have and bought it instantly. It came in pristine condition, I popped in my “Powerslave” CD by Iron Maiden and let it rip. I played it late at night while I rocked my newborn to sleep, it was a beautiful moment. At 36 years old, going back to my CDs feels good, it feels intentional without an overwhelming streaming library which I can appreciate now. Thank you Retrospekt.
Not sure if it works correctly. Put film in it and its just black through the view finder. Clicked the shutter button and it shot out 2 films with a blue residue on them. Going to test it out more to see if the camera even works after repair. Hopefully retrospekt Will help.
Affordable, reliable, and simple! And also great customer service! Great people working here, and where very human and transparent about there product! These cassettes have not been in used, so they are all yours to record for the first time!
This thing is clean. Great refurbished retro tech and totally worth the price tag. Excellent job with the 600 film conversion and quick shipping as well. I’ll be coming back when I’m looking to add another piece to my kit.
This is the first time I’ve purchased a refurbished device on this web site. I have been shopping here for cassette tapes and other accessories for almost 6 years, but never bought a device until now. Wanted a Walkman badly and this was the one that peaked my interest. When I got to try it, it exceeded my expectations. The cosmetic condition is pretty good considering it’s B-graded. The audio is crisp and audible. The volume control is clean (as of other compartments). The tape mechanism runs nicely, though it makes some sounds though it may be some tapes that I own. Although it is pricey for the model and being a refurbished device, I was extremely satisfied with how it turned out. I have no regrets! Appreciate the fact that the batteries were included as well. Worth every penny if you have the funds. Great Walkman overall!
I love the idea of marking the days and months myself but not sure if the price was worth it for the material but overall, the item is magnificent and loving it already! The calendar adds to my growing white/pink room aesthetic.
Delivery to UK means I had to wait but I’m very happy to replace my original mouse mat with a new one - had the old one from their first issue - so really happy with the service, price and deliver - thought it would be impossible to replace but I’ve been so lucky to find one on this site - Excellent!!!
Came expertly wrapped! And works great. Only disappointed it doesn't come with at least a universal remote. But understand it was in the notes that it doesn't come with one, so can't knock off any stars for that. Also appreciated the extra sticker goodies.
Great for cassette storage, although a bit hard puzzling the peace's together (hard enough too accidently break one of the joints), you'd ultimately get a cool holder that just shows what kind of person you are.

the camera is very cute and functions well, though I guess I was hoping for a better quality feel to it. when I held it for the first time I was kinda disappointed at how it was made of majority plastic and super light. I expected a little more weight and just overall quality to it, given the price, but maybe it's priced this way because it has a franchise character on it. either way, its a cute camera that works, so I can't be too mad about it. also the product box it came in (not the package box) was already torn when I took it out of the package and unwrapped it from the honeycomb paper. unfortunately I didn't take a picture of it before opening the box, but hopefully this is just something that happened to me and not anyone else.
So nostalgic. Grew up watching this movie, never expected to find the OST here (for a bargain too)! Whoever is curating the CD collection at Retrospekt has excellent taste haha.
The whole family has been eagerly taking turns using the player. It sounds great and is intuitive and comfortable to use for a variety of ages in our home. It has been in use almost nonstop since it arrived a few days ago and so far holding up well!
My experience was great!!! I made a large order and I was very impressed by the condition of the cassettes and CDs I ordered. Even the cases were in great condition. Absolutely would recommend!!!
