The Graflex Crown Graphic is a large format camera introduced in 1947. The Crown Graphic was engineered for commercial photography; unlike the Speed Graphic, the Crown Graphic does not feature a focal plane shutter built into the body. By this virtue, it is lighter weight and more portable, which makes it popular with today's large format photographers.
In its day, it was used by newspaper photographers, wedding photographers and advertisers. The camera is designed to be operated either handheld or on a tripod. It has a side-mounted Kalart Rangefinder attached, which is calibrated to the provided lens.
