The Colorful World of Miffy Comes to Retro Tech in Retrospekt's Newest Collection

We're proud to introduce a brand new collection of analog film, music and timekeeping devices featuring Miffy, the globally beloved bunny created by Dutch author and illustrator Dick Bruna.

The Miffy + Retrospekt collection features a range of retro tech products including a Polaroid instant camera, two different 35mm film cameras, an analog flip clock, two different camera bags, a portable cassette player and a turntable. Each product showcases classic Miffy illustrations that have captivated children and adults alike for nearly 70 years. The devices and their packaging are wrapped in Bruna's classic and distinctive color palette of blue, yellow and red — proudly displaying a strict adherence to the same color system Bruna used to provide a pleasant and comforting uniformity to his art throughout decades of publishing.

"Adventurous. Curious. Simple. Timeless. These are words Dick Bruna used to describe Miffy that really resonate with us today,” said Retrospekt Creative Director Michael Kempen. “They mirror our relationship with retro tech. Our process embodies a bit of each of those things.”

Born from simple bedtime stories Bruna first created for his son in 1955, Miffy has starred in more than 30 books, which have sold over 85 million copies and been translated into more than 50 languages. The collection captures the spirit of Miffy across various Retrospekt products.

The Miffy Retro Tech Collection includes:

• The Retrospekt FC-11 Miffy 35mm Film Camera is modeled after a classic point-and-shoot, with a fixed focus and built-in flash. Its focus on presenting film photography in a simple and straightforward manner makes for a camera that’s fun and easy to use for those of all skill levels.
• The Polaroid 600 Miffy Instant Film Camera is built from original refurbished internal components from the 80s and 90s, rehoused in new exteriors molded in Bruna’s distinct color palette. It provides a fresh take on a classic instant film experience.
• The Retrospekt CP-81 Miffy portable cassette player is a handheld listening experience and gateway to the world of classic analog tape. The blue cassette player comes with custom headphones in Miffy’s distinctive shade of red.
• The Retrospekt Miffy Flip Clock is a newly-made take on a classic home and office essential. This clock features an analog display that cycles through physical number cards displaying the hour and minute with a satisfying clack.
• The Retrospekt TX-90 turntable brings Miffy to the vinyl shop. This blue, belt-driven, variable-speed record player has a bold Miffy print across the dust cover and comes with a two-sided slip mat, each side featuring a different illustration.
• A 35mm camera bag and an instant camera bag, each developed to complement the cameras in the collection or act as eye-catching protection for a variety of film, digital and/or instant cameras. Each of the blue bags features prominent embroidery of the beloved bunny holding a balloon.
