Koss x Retrospekt P/21 Retro Orange Foam On-Ear Headphones

Super comfortable and great sound for the price. Didn’t notice to much bleed as I don’t need to play my stuff too loud. My ears are very sensitive and I wear glasses everyday so I was looking for something adjustable that wouldn’t irritate my ears. So far I’m happy.

Koss headphones not so much worth the price for sound quality or comfort but they look cool. Shipping was pretty bad, very little consideration for protecting the product. I recommend getting a cheaper pair of headphones and just adding orange muffs.

I really like the design and price point of this item! It's comfy to wear and the aesthetic is refreshing. The moving parts are smooth but your hair can easily get caught on them. The sound quality is actually pretty good, compared to apple wired air pods, at a similar price point. Overall very nice.

Great headphones. A good stylish look, comfort and sound quality are all there. In a generation of having Bluetooth everything and massive over the ear headphones it’s good to go back to the basics. For the price, how could you not love these.

absolutely love these headphones! Fits the late 90s aesthetic. Comfortably fits with my glasses. Only downside is a slight sound leak, but that natural for this model.

I came across Retrospekt online and was able to send in my Walkman WM-41 to have it repaired.The communication with their team far exceeded my expectations. Lightweight headphones that dont hurt your ears or head after hours of use, also the sound and orange color is great!

The original pair I got were faulty , when I reached out they responded quickly and were very kind, and sent me a replacement . Great company

The sounds is nice and warm. It's quite fragile though, would be unwise to just through it in a bag without a casing (which I still do, because I am a daredevill). The aux wire get's disconnected easily as well. I will change it to one with a straight plug. Feels light as a feather on your head. When there is a lot of noise around it'd hard to hear the different layers of music, but for inside it is just what I wanted. I'm not fond of being completely noise cancelled, as I start to hear myself breath from the inside out (urgh). All in all 7/10!

I bought a backup pair just in case something happens to my first pair! Earbuds drive me bonkers (uncomfortable and so much lost sound) and over-the-ear headphone are just too much on my head sometimes. Especially in the summer. Came across these while searching for vintage sony walkman style headphones -like the ones I had in high school. I love them so much! Such a comfortable fit and they sound great. Really clean and crisp. Buy a pair! Buy two just in case!

Great replacement pair for the cheap headphones that came with my vintage Walkman. Ignore those who say these are garbage. For casual Walkman headphones, they work just fine.

These are the best retro headphones!! The sound quality is awesome and no distortion. Love them with the “new to me” retro Walkman.

I love these headphones! It has been such a journey to find headphones that are comfortable to wear all day long while I work. I tried probably 5 or more pairs of in the ear headphones but they all inevitably start to hurt after about 20 mins, and giant over the ear headphones hurt as well after a while (and make it hard to wear my hair in certain styles). But these are perfect. I can wear them for hours on end and they feel like a puffy, cloud-soft dream! They look super cute too, and the sound quality is really good :)

Love the the design, the aesthetic of it. Two changes I’d suggest, but even if they weren’t addressed I would still buy these. Have the foam yellow, or black, or a choice. This is very nice quality foam; it’s soft and doesn’t shed, if you could offer a color selection I’d certainly be involved. I’d also love a slightly larger gauge on the wire shielding, I know that’s barley possible, it’s just a dream I have. The egress is noticeable on an old portable radio I have, which is a problem with all wire headphones that have a high gauge. Other than my nitpicks, these headphones are very nice and I’m glad someone if offering to sell them.

These are cute. The sound is good; I don’t think Koss ever really misses in that aspect. They’re always good for the price,you know? Anyway, I take these everywhere (when I don’t wear my wireless earbuds) because they’re so lightweight it doesn’t bother to carry around.

I bought these primarily for the aesthetic (like you probably are thinking of doing), and to be honest they are a great pair of headphones. They are my backpack headphones and I think the rigid metal band really makes me confident that they'll not break in my bag when I am moving around. I was expecting them to sound tinny, but they're very warm. There is not a lot of bass, but I mean for the size and how they rest on your head, it is good enough. Overall, very impressed with these headphones! Don't hesitate to purchase.

I was a college student in the 80's and so my ears today only go up to 13 Khz (darn those YouTube audio videos!), so the frequency range of this headset (30 - 17 Khz) is more than enough! And although I have owned about 10 lightweight headsets plus Sennheister 250's, Bose QC35, this is my most comfortable headset of all time! Sony MDR-4L1S, Sony MDR-10, Sony MDR-12, MDR-13, MDR-20, MDR-27, Panasonic XBS RP-HT21, Koss Retrospekt is the BEST in terms of comfort and I love the look of the puffy orange earpads!

I really like these headphones! They are super light and open. Really comfy for working out, walking or jogging. Great to be able to hear through. The sound is mostly good, but they can get a bit crunchy sounding on some tracks or if the volume is high. Thanks for making these, there aren’t many decent, light, open headphones any more!

Bought this mainly for the looks! I am a big fan of the color orange and I wanted some retro-headphones for my "new" minidisc player. After reading online reviews from audiophiles, I was worried these were going to sound tinny and empty. Turns out my fears were unfounded, these sound GREAT! Granted I don't have a very trained ear, but the music sounds very full and dynamic with these. They don't sound overly bassy either. Definitely worth the price.

I bought these as a Christmas gift for my sister. They have the perfect vintage look. It's nice to have option other than the mainstream wireless options sold by amazon and apple. Sometimes the old school look it best!

They sound pretty good, but the fit is odd. Like I’d say I have a pretty average head and average sized ears and it’s really hard to keep the headphones on my head.

These look just like my OG 90's Walkman headphones that I finally had to retire. The ear foam is really good quality, not scratchy, and I forgot how nice and secure a fresh headband feels! I've been wearing them all afternoon, and so far no speaker clicks and only minimal noise from the wire. I'm looking forward to using these throwback headphones interchangeably with my wireless earbuds while I work, thanks!

light, easy, aesthetic vibe but with surprisingly good audio quality for on-ear foam headphones that remind me of those (really tinny) lo-fi ones from my old portable CD player - but with actually decent bass and balanced pitch for day to day use!

One can only describe as comfortable as docking.

These are great and so is the price. They’re better than the in ear headphones that came w my iPhone w the added benefit of being able to plug it into my computer (adapter necessary to plug into phone but I find this less annoying idk). Comfortable for hours of archival footage research that were so annoying and itchy? with in-ears or air pods (even though I like AirPods for other reasons). Overall great for library computer stuff or to focus without getting sore ears after a while. I think they’re also a cut accessory. :-)

The headphone drivers themselves aren't great. The sound is pretty mediocre and the other cheaper Koss headphones blow these out of the water. However, the headband is amazing and is nearly perfect for what I've wanted. The KSC-75 and Portapro drivers snap in just fine into the headband, and the way the headband allows the drivers to swivel and rotate a bit makes for a great pressure and sound that the clip-ons and other headbands don't. However, the little black endcaps (where the Retrospekt logo is) kept falling off when taking on/taking off drivers. I saw that they were glued into place, but the glue was weak and they detached from the glue, so I had to superglue the caps into place. NOW they're gonna stay put. TL;DR: Great handband (once I fixed it up a little), crappy drivers. :P

WOW!! Obviously, if you are into this sort of thing, they look great. But, they do sound quite good too. Surprisingly balanced sound, which is what I prefer. You do miss sone sub- bass, but what are you expecting from these things? And if you listen to older music, and listen to cassettes recorded from records, there isn't much sub- bass anyway. So for the money, they are WELL worth the purchase. Soon, I will be buying another pair or 2, just to have them in case my first pair breaks or something. I like them so much, I want to buy them now because who knows how long this sort of thing will be around!

Didn’t really have high expectations but it definitely over exceeded any expectation I did have! Very satisfied with my purchase.

These bring back the essence of personal music. Nothing fancy, just pure, beautiful sound all for yourself, while at the same time telling those around you that you're on your "me time" with those bright orange ear pads. Chuck 'em anywhere if you don't need them, put them on when you do. Time will tell how long they'll last, but for now, they give immediate satisfaction despite being a blast from the past.
