A Simple Wish VHS Tape

A Simple Wish (1997) is a family fantasy-comedy directed by Michael Ritchie. The film stars Mara Wilson as Anabel Greening, an 8-year-old girl who wishes for her father, Oliver (Robert Pastorelli), to land the lead role in a Broadway musical. Her wish is granted—or rather, bungled—by Murray (Martin Short), the first male fairy godmother, whose magical mishaps lead to a series of comedic adventures. As they navigate challenges including a broken wand and the scheming ex-fairy Claudia (Kathleen Turner), Anabel and Murray strive to make her simple wish come true. The cast also includes Amanda Plummer, Francis Capra, Ruby Dee and Teri Garr.
