Blackmail (1929) is a crime thriller directed by Alfred Hitchcock and starring Anny Ondra, John Longden and Sara Allgood. One of the first British sound films, it follows a woman who kills a man in self-defense and becomes the target of a blackmailer, with a detective—her boyfriend—assigned to the case.
