The film follows Libby Parsons, who is wrongfully convicted of her husband's murder. After serving six years in prison, she discovers that her husband is alive and had faked his death to frame her. Upon release, Libby sets out to find him and reclaim her son, while being pursued by her parole officer, Travis Lehman. The film explores themes of justice, betrayal and the legal concept of double jeopardy.
