This camera should be considered as a nonfunctioning collector's item. While it is new and still sealed in its original packaging, because of a documented history of issues with this camera, it cannot be expected to function properly. It is not eligible for return once opened and is not covered by any warranty or guarantees.

Released in 2016, the Impossible I-1 Analog Instant film camera was an important first step towards the next generation of instant film cameras — and thus, the revival of Polaroid instant film. Unfortunately, this camera was a failure upon its release due to charging issues. Long-term, the camera's battery does not hold a charge. Some believe this may be caused by the charging cord, but this theory has not been independently verified by Retrospekt. It's unknown if the cord issue could be resolved due to the camera and battery being several years old.

From the Impossible Project: "The I-1 is the first camera created in over a decade for the classic instant photo format. It takes unique, original photos that develop in the palm of your hand with Polaroid 600 film or Polaroid i-Type film. It features an advanced ring flash for taking great portraits and creative tools to explore in the I-1 app. This camera has been made to take your photography further!"
