The Impossible Instant Lab was the Impossible Project's first attempt at bridging digital and instant photography. Rather than printing with ink, it uses your smartphone's screen to expose instant film through a precision optical system, creating genuine chemical instant photos with the unmistakable look and character of Polaroid film. While originally designed for select iPhone and Android models, the Instant Lab has also become popular among creative tinkerers, with some enthusiasts repurposing it into custom instant photography devices.
Please note: The Instant Lab was released in 2013 and was designed for smartphones of that era. The companion mobile app is no longer available, and compatibility with modern devices is extremely limited.
Refurbished units include the Universal Cradle Upgrade, while New In Box units include the original cradle.
