The Polaroid 600 Kodomo No Omocha by Tomy was released exclusively in Japan, blending Polaroid’s early ’90s camera design with the beloved anime. Unlike the boxier 600 models of the late ’80s, this edition adopts the sleeker CloseUp-style body that came to define the brand’s look in the early ’90s. Functionally, it offers the same reliable features of the era — Polaroid 600 film compatibility, built-in flash, fixed-focus lens and straightforward point-and-shoot operation — but in a fun pink and yellow housing.
Lens: 110mm f/10
Focus: Fixed, 2'-4', 4' - Infinity
Viewfinder: Direct
Exposure Control: Automatic, with manual +/- 1EV lighten/darken slider
Shutter: Electronic, automatic shutter speeds of 1/3 to 1/200th second
Flash: Built-in, with manual override
Power: Battery is built into film cartridge
As an authentic vintage camera, each unit is unique and may exhibit light cosmetic wear consistent with previous use. Production variations over the years mean labels next to the flash and above the film shield may differ, along with certain minor design details not reflected in the photos.
