The Marantz PMD222 is a rugged, high-quality analog cassette recorder built to meet the demands of both serious audio enthusiasts and casual users. Featuring a 3-head cassette mechanism, half-speed recording and playback and manual or automatic record level options, it offers flexibility for various recording scenarios. With VU metering, tone control and a ±20% pitch control, it provides precise control over sound quality and playback. The PMD222 also includes features like peak indicators, memory rewind, a modular phone jack, a built-in speaker and microphone, and an XLR-type connector for microphones, making it more versatile for broadcast and field recording. Powered by three D-cell batteries (not included) or a DC power supply (included).
