Princess of Thieves (2001) is an action adventure directed by Peter Hewitt and starring Keira Knightley, Stephen Moyer and Malcolm McDowell. The film follows Gwyn, the daughter of Robin Hood, who takes up her father’s cause when he is captured, disguising herself as a boy to enter an archery tournament and uncover a plot against the rightful king. Blending swashbuckling action with a coming-of-age story, it reimagines the Robin Hood legend from a new perspective.
