I have bought two tape players before this one that had issues. Then I bought this one from retrospekt and oh my god game changer. The quality was AMAZING and is super durable. (Which is needed because I am extremely klutzy and drop stuff constantly)
Absolutely amazing quality for my first cassette player. Easy to use and the transparent case is cool. 100% would recommend to anyone interested in getting a starter cassette player.

I wanted a straightforward cassette player, and this one is awesome! If you want an easy way to play your cassettes, I highly recommend this cassette player. I started falling into a rabbit hole when researching which cassette player to get, but then I decided to just bite the bullet and get this one. I'm happy I did! I will say the headphones don't feel comfortable on my ears, but that has always been the case for these sorts of headphones. I still think this is a 5-star product.

I bought the cp-81 two years ago and it worked splendidly until I dropped it a few weeks back. I must have jarred something inside because from that point on the tapes sounded warped. I fiddled around with it but had no success getting it to sound normal. I googled all of the Sony Walkmans you had on your site trying to figure out which one would sound at least as good as the cp-81. I decided to order another cp-81 as I knew I would be happy with it. And I am happy with it. I am impressed with your professional packaging and the time it took for me to receive the player. At some point I may send the old one back to you for repair. I would have done that but I didn't want to wait for it to get fixed. I am grateful for your existence. I listen to the cassette player quite frequently and it is my preferred option for music enjoyment. Thank you

I bought my Restrospekt Cassette Player to play some new tapes I bought, after my previous radio player broke for some reason. It arrived in a timely fashion, has that exact retro look and feel I’ve always wanted, and was in perfectly fine condition when it arrived. I’ve since played those new tapes side to side multiple times, and the audio quality on the headphones is very good for ones of that kind of build. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a cheaper alternative to an antique Walkman or similar cassette player.

The CP-81 is such a cool modern rendition of the Walkman. Quality is amazing, super easy to use and lightweight but doesn't feel cheap in any way. I'm obsessed with this cassette player and the retro headphones are such a cool addition to such a cool piece of technology.

This product is a fun new school rendition of some old school music enjoyment. I love the translucent cover, you can see the motor pushing the spools. Putting on the vintage-inspired headphones brings me back to a very happy place.
