Samsung BD-P1500 Blu-Ray DVD Player
The Samsung BD-P1500 is an early Blu-ray player designed for 1080p playback over HDMI. It supports Blu-ray Discs, standard DVDs, and audio CDs, with basic Dolby Digital and DTS decoding. The front panel uses a motorized disc tray with simple navigation controls.
On the back, the player includes HDMI, component, and composite video outputs, plus stereo analog audio and both optical and coaxial digital audio options. A LAN port was originally used for firmware updates and BD-Live features, and a front USB port provides access to supported media files. Released in 2008, the BD-P1500 represents the early shift toward Blu-ray as the primary HD disc format.
As a reminder, all Blu-ray players can play DVDs, but DVD players cannot play Blu-ray discs.
