Sale price$ 12
Scooby-Doo Goes Hollywood (1979) is an animated television special directed by Ray Patterson, featuring the voices of Don Messick, Casey Kasem, and Rip Taylor. The plot centers on Shaggy Rogers (Kasem) convincing Scooby-Doo (Messick) that they deserve more than their Saturday morning show, leading them to pitch various prime-time show ideas to network executive C.J. (Taylor). These pilots parody popular films and TV series of the time, including "How the West Was Won," "Superman," "Happy Days," "Laverne & Shirley," "The Sound of Music," "Saturday Night Fever," "Sonny & Cher," "The Love Boat" and "Charlie's Angels." The special originally aired on ABC on December 23, 1979, celebrating the franchise's 10th anniversary. It was later released on VHS by Worldvision Enterprises in the 1980s and by Warner Home Video in 1997.
