The Sears SL-9 is a 35mm single-lens reflex camera manufactured during the 1960s as part of the Sears line of rebadged photographic equipment. Rather than a camera manufactured by Sears themselves, it's a Ricoh 35 Flex CdS (Cadmium Sulfide) camera produced by the Japanese manufacturer Ricoh and sold under the Sears brand name. This camera features a manual focus interchangeable lens system with traditional mechanical controls for shutter speed, aperture and focusing and uses an optical TTL viewing system. It offers the core functionality of a traditional SLR at a more accessible price point.
