Sony Walkman WM-DD Portable Cassette Player
The Sony WM-DD is a portable cassette player first introduced in 1982. Evolving from the TPS-L2, the "DD" stands for 'disc drive', in which the unit's main motor was directly coupled to the 'disc' of the capstan flywheel assembly while lying perpendicular to it within the unit. As the first model of the DD series, the WM-DD, had a solid reputation for performance.

Our vintage refurbished players are professionally restored by a skilled team of technicians to ensure they perform like new while retaining their original charm. Each unit is carefully disassembled, inspected and cleaned. Key components such as drive belts, idler tires and pinch wheels are replaced, playback speed is calibrated, and the tapehead is cleaned and demagnetized. The volume potentiometer is deoxidized, and outer housings are polished for a clean finish.
