The Peel Sessions collects recordings made by The Smiths for BBC Radio 1’s influential John Peel program between 1983 and 1986. The cassette features alternate versions of key tracks like “This Charming Man,” “What Difference Does It Make?” and “Bigmouth Strikes Again,” captured with a rawer, more immediate sound than their studio counterparts. Long valued by fans for its stripped-back performances and broadcast context, the release documents the band in a formative, fast-moving period of their career.

Every cassette tape we sell is individually inspected, cleaned and rewound before being added to our inventory. We check for mold, examine the tape shell for damage, inspect felt pressure pads and replace them when needed to help ensure reliable playback.
We also verify that original J-cards and artwork are present and intact whenever applicable. To keep collections looking their best, all standard cassette releases are housed in new jewel cases.
We're picky about condition, presentation and playability, and only offer tapes we'd be happy to add to our own collections. While vintage media may show some signs of age, we do our best to ensure every cassette arrives clean, complete and ready to enjoy.
