Walt Disney’s The Reluctant Dragon (1941) is an animated fantasy film produced by Walt Disney and directed by Alfred L. Werker that blends live-action framing with classic Disney animation. The story follows a gentle, poetry-loving dragon who would rather sip tea than breathe fire, much to the frustration of a young boy and Sir Giles who attempt to teach him how to be fierce. The VHS release also includes the animated short “Morris the Midget Moose,” adding additional vintage Disney animation.
