Zeh Zeca-Flex Medium Format TLR Film Camera

The Zeh Zeca-Flex is an extremely rare folding medium format twin-lens reflex (TLR) film camera, produced in Germany during the early 20th century. It features a unique viewing system that is of a shorter focal length than the taking lens, which keeps the camera very compact when collapsed for storage. Due to the folding capability, this camera combines portability with the image quality advantages of medium format. With its distinctive design and historical context, the Zeca-Flex offers an exquisite hands-on shooting experience rooted in early reflex camera engineering.

Please note these details on the condition of the camera:

• The leather coverings are in overall good condition considering this camera's age but will show signs of wear and tear.
• The nickel trim is in similar condition as the leathers - some areas are worn to the underlying brass.
• The viewing mirror shows some signs of de-silvering, but is in useable condition.
• The optics are relatively clear, but have some minor internal haze (see image examples.)
• The automatic frame counter is functional, but does not consistently remain aligned with the numbers printed on the film's paper backing. In general, the frame spacing when using the automatic counter is wider than average.
• The original case and strap are included, but are only included for completion's sake. If you intend to use the camera, we do not recommend their use as the leather is unstable. There is no key included for the case lock and you will most likely need to pick the lock if you would like to open it.
