The main purpose was to give teachers guidance on how to make children ready for the next coming decades, preparing and educating for the 21st century. This was a big push back in the 80's and 90's. The program was geared toward helping kids be the hope we all need for the future and teaching students to be problem solvers, inventive creators, and invoke teamwork in addition to personal drive.
