Wow!!! Camera #2 refurbishment and I didn’t think it could match the 1st one! Well Retrospekt, I’m absolutely blown away. Like the first one, I almost want to display it and not put it to use. Almost! Slapped in a 600 film pack and snapped picture #1. Worked like it just came off the Polaroid assembly line. Better actually! The last pic has both of the refurbs. This one has a Stormtrooper vibe for me. Thanks team Retrospekt!!!

The conversion to 600 film was completed in a timely fashion. The new leather really makes this camera “pop”. Several friends mistakenly thought the camera was a new purchase! Completely satisfied with the entire experience.

I’m always amazed how Retrospekt can turn a 50 year old camera into an updated camera that works and looks like new. This one is one of my favorite cameras that they have worked on for me. It’s a Sears Special Alpha that even more special now that it’s been touch by wizards at Retrospekt. Thanks for doing what you do.

Picked this camera up at a swap meet and it was worse for wear but after sending it in for the full conversation and repair it came back looking stunning and I couldn't be happier. Absolutely amazing customer service and help me with all my questions I had and shipping was very quick and easy and I got my camera back much sooner than I thought

The camera does not put out pictures that are as clear as I thought they would be. I had to look online for an indoor flash before I realized you were a vendor that was selling one. The camera does look great though.

Parents bought a SX-70 camera back in the 70s. After mom passed away found the camera in a drawer. Had repaired and converted to 600 film and its been working great.

Great experience! I was very impressed on how they shipped back the camera. It looks like a brand new camera now. They package it up in a new box and clean it until it shines. The pictures I’ve taken from it are amazing, much better than before. Would 100% recommend them. They were extremely fast, much faster than their estimated time. Was sitting unused in his closet for nearly 50 years and I never knew he owned it. So nice to have this to remember him by. He loved photography. So incredibly thankful for the work you guys do. My vintage 1975 model 1, I have been using an ND filter and it was in really good shape. 2 yrs ago my wife got me this camera for our 25th anniversary. This year I decided to finally get it modded and get a real CLA accomplished. They said 3 weeks for the repair and it was exactly that. The camera is like new out of the box. The photos are exactly the reason I started shooting Polaroid in the first place. The new skin and button just finished the process. It was already a head turner but now it's an enviable piece of hardware. Thank you for breathing new life into my EDC camera.

Not only was my camera sent back to me in an incredibly timely manner but it was also packaged beautifully. Packaged with care and lots of little touches which I appreciated (such as a list of everything that was repaired, fiddled with, etc...so neat!) The camera came back in GORGEOUS condition working perfectly (which is saying a lot because the exposure dial did not even spin when I sent it off). Would recommend to anyone and will deffinetly use for all my future repair needs.

The Alpha 1 Model 2 I just received from Retrospekt—refinished in black-on-black and upgraded for 600 film—is outstanding. I’ve had several SX-70s refurbished by them over the years, and every one has come back performing better than new. This one is no exception. The finish is immaculate, the mechanics sound exactly as they should, and it’s already becoming my go-to camera. Retrospekt consistently delivers work of a quality that keeps these cameras alive and shooting decades later. Thank you again for doing what you do.

My converted SX-70 works great. The presentation was first class. I had a checklist of items verified, repaired (where needed) and replaced (where needed). Exposure has been good so far. Turnaround was quicker than I expected. Not overnight of course but I was pleasantly surprised when I got the email my camera was on its way. Overall I am very pleased and would recommend Retrospekt.

This wasn’t the best experience. The camera came back with more issues after the refurb than before, including light leaks and mechanical issues. Ryan said they would honor my request to not apply a sticker to the film door, but they did anyway. Now I can’t take off the adhesive without taking-up the original 70’s lettering I was hoping to preserve…so that is irreparably damaged. They ignored my requests for a warranty repair, but instead told me how to fix it myself. It wasn’t until I filed a claim with my financial institution did they email me a shipping label, but didn’t respond to my inquiry if they were still willing to work on it as a goodwill gesture for all the issues they caused. I feel robbed and cheated. It’s a shame, too, because this was the second time I used them.
